The easiest way to identify the transfer case input is by identifying the stock transmission that Jeep used. The 21 and 23 splined output shafts vary on different transmission models. 99-04 grand cherokee's (wj's) have the 5x5 bolt pattern,if you are looking to get factory wheels those are the only compatible grand cherokee years. Also, JK (07-present) wranglers have the same bolt pattern as do WK's (05-10) grand cherokee's and XK's (commanders) though the latter have slightly different offsets i believe.
